I am a lifelong Woburnite, a husband and father, a homeowner and taxpayer for 35 years and an involved member of our community for my whole adult life. I have been an active parent in our schools, a coach on our athletic fields, rinks, and courts as well as a member, Past President, and Melvin Jones Fellow in the Woburn Host Lions Club - where I helped to  establish Lions Park at Horn Pond. I am personally committed to our community.

On a professional level, I am a graduate of Woburn Memorial High School, the University of Massachusetts at Lowell, and Suffolk University Law School. I have been a member of the Massachusetts Bar since 1996. I am a retired Massachusetts State Police Major and a former Undersecretary of Public Safety for the Commonwealth. I also served as a college professor at the University of Massachusetts at Lowell for 10 years.

While serving on the City Council these past 10 years, in addition to currently serving as City Council President for almost 2 years, I have also served as the Chairman of the Finance Committee and as the Liaison to the School Committee as well as a member of the Ordinance Committee, Public Safety and License Committee, Personnel Committee, Audits and Accounts Committee, and the Traffic Commission.

I am keenly aware of the important issues facing our city and I have developed strong relationships with our city’s department heads, administrators, and employees. I have great admiration for our city’s workforce and I pledge to always treat them with respect and dignity. With every vote that I have cast and with every action that I have taken while on the City Council, I have always been guided by what I felt was best for Woburn as a whole. I pledge that I will continue to do so and to do it respectfully and professionally.
